The book is GOOD. I haven't had much timee so I am dedicating myself to many blogs today for old times. I looked a "Book Club Discussion" question on this book.
Why is Jesse's behavior so aberrant, while until now, Anna has been so compliant?
::::::Jesse is the older sybling that is so used to the slight lack of attention the parents give and decided along time ago not to put up with it. He doesn't even live in the house and comes in for dinner smelling like drugs. However Anna was young and thats all shed had her parents and their world Kate. All she could do was deal but as she got older she couldn't take it.
G2G going to read page 317 here I come. Hope Im not too late.

What others think???
Its not all about me. What are other people saying?
What others are saying about My Sister's Keeper …
“Expect to be kept up all night by Picoult's latest novel, but it's much more than a page-turner; it's a fascinating character study framed by a complex, gripping story… Told in alternating perspectives by the engaging, fascinating cast of characters, Picoult's novel grabs the reader from the first page and never lets go. This is a beautiful, heartbreaking, controversial, and honest book.”
—Starred Review, Booklist

My beginning synopsis ooo big word hehe.
Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone a lot of surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate - a life and a role that she has never questioned… until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister - and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable… a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves. My Sister's Keeper examines what it means to be a good parent, a good sister, a good person. Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a child's life… even if that means infringing upon the rights of another? Is it worth trying to find yourself, if that makes you like yourself less ?

Joy Luck Club ::Blog Homework::
My Sister's Keeper ::::Jodi Picoult::::
I chose to read this book because of book club. The book club at our school has this big sign boasting about they read this book and how good it was. Then when I found out it was on our list and saw all the high recommendations for it I wanted to read it. The book also had interesting topics like family drama, and depression. Also when I read the review I was hooked. I have high expectations for this book. I hope by the end I'm raving to everyone about how good it was. I expect it to be an extremely challenging read.
I also looked up the author- Jodi Picoult. She is an American writer and is 49 years old. She was awarded the New England Bookseller Award for fiction in 2003. Picoult grew up in Nesconset on Long Island, New York. Something interesting about her were her topics in her books. "Picoult's novels tend to center on human emotion, complex human relationships and pose moral dilemmas. Most of her books involve a criminal or civil case which last the duration of the book. In books that do not follow this pattern, an attorney character is still often present."This book is 418 pages. I want to read for 5 weeks. 100 pages for the first week and 68 for the fourth. I wish myself good luck!!!

Character Profile
::::: Mr. Harvey :::::
Mr Harvey was Susie's Salmon's murderer. He raped her. Tear.
What Others Say...
"My murderer believed in old fashioned things like eggshells and coffee grounds, which he said his own mother had used."
In my opinion that is strange to others it might not be.
What Character Say...
"It's after dark Susie."
This makes him even more strange because he didn't or wasn't suppose to know it. He was just a neighbor, that no body Really talked except on his gardening.
What Character Does...
"In his car he played a radio station that looped Christmas carols during the month of December. He whistled inside his huge station wagon..."
This man is either pure evil or a skitzophranic. He's loco! Who can sing after they just killed someone.
Others Reactions
"... about how weird the neighborhood thought Mr. Harvey was with no regular job and no kids."
If that doesn't scream at least SUSPECT these people are blind.
I like this book its extremely mysterious even though I already know who did it.

Can You Find the Symbolism?
"Inside the snow globe on my fathers desk, there was a penguin wearing a red-and-white striped scaref. When I was little my father would pull me into his lap and reach for the snow globe. He would turn it over, letting all the snow collect on the top, then quickly invert it. The two of us watched the snow gently around the penguin. The penguin was alone in ther, I thought, and I worried for him. When I told my father this, he said, "Dont worry, Susie: he has a nice life. He's trapped in a perfect world."

I think the penguin was suppose to be her. Everything was so perfect as a child but she knew that something could always go wrong and that's what scared her. Do you agree?
